Why this works

A moderately energy-dense dessert with some beneficial fruit and yoghurt, but relatively high in added sugar and saturated fat.

Berries. Provides vitamin C, polyphenols and fibre, which support antioxidant intake and bowel health.

Greek yoghurt. Adds calcium and protein, though the overall protein remains modest at this portion size.

Honey and granola. These increase the sugar and calorie load, so the dish is best enjoyed as an occasional dessert rather than an everyday snack.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (Fan 160°C, 356°F, Gas Mark 4).
  2. Put the fresh berries into a baking dish and drizzle over the honey.
  3. Dot the butter over the berries, then toss gently so they are evenly coated.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the berries are soft and syrupy.
  5. Remove from the oven and spoon the granola over the top.
  6. Serve warm with Greek yoghurt.
