Why this works

A light, high-protein breakfast with moderate natural sugars from fruit and very little saturated fat or sodium.

High in vitamin C. The orange, berries and raspberries provide vitamin C, which supports immune function and collagen formation.

Good protein source. Greek yoghurt contributes meaningful protein, helping with satiety and muscle maintenance.

Contains fibre and antioxidants. Berries and raspberries add fibre plus polyphenols and other antioxidants that support gut and heart health.

Method

  1. Finely grate a little orange zest and juice the orange.
  2. In a bowl, gently stir the Greek yoghurt with a spoonful of orange zest and a splash of orange juice until smooth and lightly scented.
  3. Spoon a layer of the orange yoghurt into two glasses or bowls.
  4. Add a layer of the tray of berries, then scatter over the raspberries.
  5. Repeat the layers, finishing with berries and a little extra orange zest on top.
  6. Serve straight away, or chill for 10 minutes if you prefer it extra cold.
