Why this works

A rich, indulgent dessert pot that is high in energy, sugar and saturated fat, with some protein from the yoghurt.

Calcium from yoghurt. Greek yoghurt contributes calcium for bone health, though the overall benefit depends on the yoghurt's fat and sugar content.

High saturated fat. Caramilk chocolate is the main source of saturated fat, so this dessert is best enjoyed occasionally.

Protein present. The yoghurt provides a moderate amount of protein, which helps make the dessert more satiating than chocolate alone.

Method

  1. Melt the Caramilk chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl over hot water or in short bursts in the microwave.
  2. Allow it to cool slightly so it stays fluid but does not split the yoghurt.
  3. Fold most of the chocolate into the Greek yoghurt, reserving a spoonful for the top.
  4. Spoon into small glasses or bowls and finish with the remaining chocolate.
  5. Chill for 10 minutes before serving for a firmer texture.
