Why this works

A filling, high-protein wrap meal with moderate carbohydrates and fat, but it is not especially low in salt or saturated fat.

High-quality protein. Chicken and eggs provide a substantial amount of protein, supporting muscle maintenance and satiety.

Vitamin C and antioxidants. Red and green peppers, plus tomatoes, contribute vitamin C and carotenoids that support immune function and overall antioxidant intake.

Sodium watch. Peri peri chicken can be quite salty, so the sodium level may be higher than a home-made plain chicken wrap.

Method

  1. Dice the red pepper, green pepper and tomatoes.
  2. Slice the peri peri chicken breast into strips and warm in a pan.
  3. Add the peppers and tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes until just softened.
  4. Scramble the eggs in a separate pan until softly set.
  5. Warm the wraps if using.
  6. Fill each wrap with the chicken and vegetable mixture, then add the scrambled eggs.
  7. Roll up and serve.
